Ingredients

Apple Cider Aperol Spritz
  • 2 oz Aperol Use chilled for the best cold, spritzy flavor.
  • 3 oz apple cider Chill until cold before mixing.
  • 3 oz prosecco Chill so the spritz stays crisp and carbonated.
  • 1 oz sparkling water Adds extra lift and lightness.
  • 1 Ice Fill the glass fully for strong dilution and fast chilling.
  • 1 thin apple slice For garnish; adds aroma and visual detail.
  • 1 cinnamon stick For garnish; lightly perfumes the drink as it sits.

Method

Build the spritz
  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice until fully packed and cold, creating a clear base for rising bubbles.
  2. Pour in Aperol and apple cider over the ice, then watch the liquid turn a vibrant orange as it meets the cold glass.
  3. Top with prosecco and sparkling water to add lift; keep it gentle so the bubbles form naturally rather than flatten.
  4. Stir gently once to combine, just enough to blend without losing carbonation.
  5. Garnish with the apple slice and cinnamon stick, then serve immediately for the best sparkle.

Notes

Pro tip: chill the apple cider and prosecco in the fridge first so the spritz stays cold longer without over-diluting. Because this is served carbonated, it’s best mixed and enjoyed right away; store leftovers in the fridge up to 24 hours and expect reduced bubbles. Freezing isn’t recommended for sparkling drinks. For a lower-sugar option, swap in a lower-sugar prosecco (or a brut-style sparkling wine) and use unsweetened apple cider if available.
